Attendees:
Meeting called to order at 7:00. Pledge of
Allegiance led by Dawn Spellman followed by a moment of silence.
Officers Report:
New Community Officer Dawn Spellman was introduced. Has been
on police force for 7 years and was the former community officer for the south
end. Officer Spellman be at each meeting 15 minutes
prior to the start and her report will be the first thing we will start with as
she will need to leave meetings early.
2 vacant homes were robbed for copper pipes. 432 E. Mountain Rd. and 21 Tanglewood.
Suspect is a
Hispanic male in a white minivan. Packages were stolen from porches on Pineridge.

Committee Reports:
3 boxes of items were donated to the Veterans Hospital from
EMNA and 3 from EECC.
Nick Longo from EECC announced a short prayer service would
be held at the Bond House at corner of E. Main Street and Meriden Rd. for the
victims of Sandy Hook at 9:15 am on Dec. 22, 2012.
Old Business:
Ned Mencio discussed Green Truck catering. Would
like to hold event on June 19 or June 21. Will need
100 dollar deposit to hold date. Discussion followed regarding price of
tickets and number of people attending. Motion to accept from
Mike Ptak and 2nd by Mike Guisto.
Flags were removed Sunday, Nov. 28th
Dave Watterworth made and donated
new EMNA sign by Valero.
New Flags ordered for EMNA, EECC and Bouley
Manor Neighborhood Assc. No estimate of cost as of
yet.
Larry Davino wil
take care of dog waste bags for the park.
New Business:
Selim
Noujaim has a new website w/link to EMNA. Our website
has links to Rep. Noujaim, EECC and City of Waterbury
and Western Hills Neighborhood Association.
Wendell Cross School- Bob & Jan Perigard have been
cleaning up bank between the stairs and driveway. Suggested spring project of
getting rid of sand and rocks and clean up Wendell Cross area.
To get permanent power to
Christmas tree EMNA and the Park Dept. will need to coordinate. Send thank you card to Teri for hosting
Christmas tree lighting. Extra electricity for the 6-8 weeks it is lit costs
less than $20 for 19th Hole.
The Secretary will start reading the previous monthly
meeting minutes aloud starting in January 2013.
Next meeting will be held on January 16th 2013.
The WPD Crimestoppers will be the speakers.
