East Mountain Neighborhood Association
2006 Scholarship Recipient

Erin McGovern, daughter of Robert and Sally McGovern, is the
2006 recipient of the annual East Mountain Neighborhood Association Scholarship award. Erin graduated as salutatorian from Crosby High School and will attend Boston University in the fall.

While at Crosby, Erin received many awards and honors. She participated in numerous school and community activities. Her most rewarding experience is working with Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

This scholarship award is presented in honor of Harry Northrop, and original resident of East Mountain, who was responsible for beginning the East Mountain Athletic Association and one of the original members of the East Mountain Community Club.

Beverly Guevin, Harry Northrop's daughter, presented a check in the amount of $500 to Erin at the June East Mountain Neighborhood Association meeting.
